Featured Omoge for May 2012- Atim Ukoh (Afrolems)

Am pleased to present this month's featured Omoge . . . . Atim Ukoh.

She is a digital media strategist and the chef behind Afrolems; a catering service based out of Canada that produces some mouth watering Nigerian and continental dishes.

I had the pleasure of getting to find out more about her and discovering how Afrolems came about. During the day she works with a company in Canada that designs websites and creates marketing tools for Real Estate Professionals. However, her first and true passion is cooking and that is how Afrolems came to be. She started Afrolems in September 2009 while she was in her 3rd year and since then it has grown leaps and bounds. She states that the current goal of Afrolems is to make Nigerian food popular among other cultures and encourage Nigerians in the diaspora to get excited about Nigerian food and learn how to make it.

The quote that motivates her daily is "Few men during their lifetime come anywhere near exhausting the resources dwelling within them. There are deep wells of strength that are never used." Richard E. Byrd
